The Chateau on the Plateau Video

The Chateau on the Plateau

This video shows some pictures of the inside and outside of our little place.

Our favorite place to sit is on the front porch which now has a swing on it. It is the most amazing place to sit through thunderstorms or a book!

We pull out the TV tables quite regularly and eat out there too!

The back porch has a nice table and chairs along with a gas grill to enjoy.

Our Chateau is still a bit of a "work in progress". However, I promise that what it lacks in progress it makes up for in charm!!!!

The "Great Room" is...well...simply GREAT! It is open and inviting and comfortable. All of the furniture was made by Bob!!! The end tables, the coffee table, the shelf, the chest beneath the shelf, and the entertainment center.  He also made the cabinet with the glass enclosure that houses the ship that he built literally stick by stick after his open heart surgery.  He does AMAZING work. How fun to have him MAKE the furniture for our little cabin. It's just gorgeous!

The Kitchen is fully stocked. OK - I mean FULLY STOCKED! All the way down to a Cinderella waffle maker, Tigger and Pooh toaster, and the best Tigger mugs you will ever drink out of!

The guest room has a day bed with a trundle which allows for extra guests. It is all done in soft green and we call it the "Garden Room" Or - New Orleans Square...that is the feel we were going for. :)

The main bedroom may have a hint of a pirate theme. (As in Pirates of the Caribbean) OK - it does. But it is not in a scary way. It is in a very rich, yummy, burgundy way! The bed is a queen size bed and is SO comfortable! It also has a beautiful ceiling fan.

The bathroom is indeed part of the "work in progress" motif. :) It will eventually become Splash Mountain. Hey - what's a Disney girl to do? For now it is pretty much...white.

So - as you can see...there is a bit (or maybe more than just a bit!) of a Disney theme throughout the Chateau on the Plateau. We hope you enjoy it as much as we do!
